
The Environmental Management Is Certified According to ISO 14001
In 1994, Peter Greven GmbH & Co. KG introduced as one of the first medium-size chemistry enterprises a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001. The international standards for environmental management systems were also officially determined by the International Standardisation Organization (ISO). Since then, the DIN EN ISO 14001 consults as internal and external basis for so called environmental audits, which examine the effectiveness and realisation of environmental management systems in enterprises.
Environmental management systems require the adherence to the laws in particular on the one hand regarding the environmental aspects with all activities. Further, on the other hand, voluntarily additionally imposed obligations, for the continuous improvement of processes relevant for the environment. Above all a clear structure and sequence organisation, a trained and environmentally conscious personnel as well as open internal and external information about operational environmental protection are the basis.
The German Society for Certifying of Management Systems (DQS) acknowledged the effectivity and realisation of the introduced environmental management system for all areas of Peter Greven GmbH & Co. KG consecutively.
