Quality and Environmental Management

Quality Management according to DIN EN ISO 9001

Peter Greven GmbH & Co. KG was among the first medium-sized companies to recognize the immense importance of a systematically structured QM system for the business. The focus during the implementation and further development of the system has been on employee involvement and the consistent introduction of IT solutions for various management tasks. The certification of our QM system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 by the German Society for the Certification of Management Systems (DQS) in 1994 was an acknowledgment of our customer-focused efforts.

Since then, the DQS has continuously re-evaluated all areas of Peter Greven GmbH & Co. KG and has consistently concluded that the high-quality standards according to DIN EN ISO 9001 continue to be optimally met. This provides the company's customers with the assurance of verifiable and consistent quality at all times.

Environmental Management System according to DIN EN ISO 14001

In 1994, Peter Greven GmbH & Co. KG became one of the first medium-sized chemical companies to implement a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has officially defined international standards for environmental management systems. ISO 14001 has since been used both internally and externally as the basis for so-called environmental audits, which evaluate the effectiveness and implementation of environmental management systems in companies.

Environmental management systems require, on the one hand, compliance with legal regulations, especially with regard to environmental aspects in all activities. On the other hand, they also require voluntary commitments that go beyond these regulations, aimed at continuously improving environmentally relevant processes. Key focuses include a clear organizational structure, trained and environmentally conscious staff, as well as open internal and external communication about environmental protection practices within the company.

Since then, the German Society for the Certification of Management Systems (DQS) has continuously confirmed the effectiveness and implementation of the environmental management system established at Peter Greven GmbH & Co. KG in all areas.

“Highest quality and environmental awareness are of central importance to our company. Through the continuous optimization of processes and the use of environmentally friendly materials, PGP actively contributes to the reduction of resource consumption and emissions. Sustainable action in the area of quality and environmental management is therefore not only an ethical obligation, but also a decisive success factor in an increasingly environmentally conscious market.”
